We currently have 3 different versions of our software, which each being useful in different ways. Try them down below!

Foldstar 2.0 Webapp (BETA): This is a user-friendly webapp that allows the user to import geometry from other platforms and apply folded patterns to it. Let’s say you want to import a design for a box and you want to fill the volume of the box with a folded pattern. You would import your geometry and then choose which surfaces to contain the folded pattern that you chose.

Foldstar 1.0 Webapp: This is a highly customizable webapp to design different kinds of folded patterns. This webapp works by controlling the shape of a crease in the ‘row’ direction, and a cross-section in the ‘column’ direction. You are able to work close-up with both the column cross section and the row edge.

Plugins: We offer plugins for programs such as Rhino and Grasshopper. With a plugin, you can work in your preferred program and still take advantage of the Foldstar technology.
